Principal's Message
Hello Marblehead Community!
I am honored to be the principal of Marblehead Elementary School for the 2024-2025 school year. As we begin our journey together, I am eager to get to know the students, the community, and the traditions that make Marblehead Elementary a wonderful learning environment.
My educational experience begins with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from California Polytechnic State University. I have also earned two Master’s degrees; one in Cross-cultural Education and the other in School Counseling. During my 19 years working in an elementary setting, I have been a teacher, a school counselor, an assistant principal, and a principal for 9 years within the Ocean View School District. I bring enthusiasm to the work that I do and believe that my vast background contributes to all areas of a successful school.
Outside of devoting my time to my school community, I am a wife and mother. I have three children, Bryan (15), Evan (9), and Ella (7), which fill my personal time with trips to baseball fields, dance classes, and family events. My children attend Capistrano Unified School District schools, and I have been extremely pleased with the level of education that they have received from this district. Family is very important to me and through the lens of being a mother, I have a charged spirit to create educational settings that will properly prepare our children for the ever-changing future.
I firmly believe in a home-school partnership and working together to support the whole child. Communication and over-communicating will be a thread in my relationship with you, the community of Marblehead Elementary. Working closely with all parents, grandparents, friends, and neighbors will help us all ensure each child continues to learn and grow.
It is with great pride that I become the newest leader of Marblehead Elementary School. Please reach out to me at any time via phone call or email.
Sincerely,
Jamie Goodwyn
